Happy Birthday To Me
My short life of many decades
Happy birthday to me is what I thought when I woke up this morning as today, 11 December, is my actual birthday. I was born in 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana, which seems so many years and miles away as I currently live in Asheville, North Carolina.
Please don’t get too excited as I have no plans on sharing anything overtly profound, but here is something that I think I’ve figured out.
There’s a saying that wisdom comes with age, and like much in my life, I enjoy challenging the norm. When I was in college, I took a course called Predict Calculus. It was a whole lot of if A then B and if B then C hence if A then C sort of analytical work.
My Theory On Life
If Wisdom comes with Age, and Age yields Experience; hence Wisdom comes with Experience. I hypothesize that it’s not so much that age is providing any inherent wisdom, but it’s the actual experiences that provide the wisdom.
