Take Your Next Adventure Today

Here’s how to add adventure to your daily life.

When was your last adventure?

I’m not asking about your trip to the States or Australia or Lunar Landing should you be an astronaut. A simple adventure that you can fit into your day to day life. Something doable like exploring a new coffee shop, trying sushi, cooking and eating spaghetti squash, walking around the block, or driving a new route home. How about exiting the bus or subway 5 blocks before your stop one day and then 5 blocks after your stop another day?

Explore your life more fully as I’m a believer in keeping my world small. Still, small doesn’t mean boringly finite, just manageable. Talk to someone on an elevator and don’t just look down or up at the numbers. Take an adventure now by saying hi to a stranger for no reason.

Create a simple adventure, which could even mean getting into work 10 minutes earlier to see which others also arrive early. An adventure could also be to pick a random topic and search it on YouTube. Out of the blue, call a cousin or schoolmate and really freak them out.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
