The Optimal Life, It’s Not Perfect, Just Better!
Thank You For The Rejection
My Submission Was Rejected
I recently submitted a piece to The Innovation, and it got rejected by Michelle Loucadoux, MBA. I am very thankful for the rejection, and I’m not being sarcastic.
Here’s how I look at it. I submitted a piece, as the editor, she looked it over and said, “nope, I think you can do better.” And she’s absolutely right. I can do better and will.
We all need a nudge, a little push, and sometimes a kick in the ass to improve. I look at Michelle like a personal trainer who is getting me to improve my fitness, but in this case, Michelle is pushing me to improve my writing, and for that, I am very thankful.
Since I have no idea what experiences you’re having with any editors or rejections, I offer no advice other than to consider it an opportunity to push yourself. Perhaps someone else sees that you can do better. For me, in this case, I can give up, or I can rise up. I’m going to rise up.
Please share if you enjoyed it so others may as well.
